Wow, I’ve been a busy guy! When you hear from me the least, it’s safe to assume that I’m being the most productive. I’m a spurty social.

I get real busy and pump out a lot of productivity, and then realize that I’ve neglected my blog and other public facing online mediums. At that point, I put all things business aside for a while to cultivate relationships and build bridges. These are the spurts that I love and have the most fun with.

After a while of this, I realize that I need to get back to business before I lose my competitive edge and my products and skills stagnate … so I disappear again.

Right now, I’m diving deep into the world of Joomla and PHP. I’ve been watching videos at joomlatutorialvideo.com to learn the basics. It’s talking about an old version of Joomla but the conscepts are close enough that I can get it. After mastering Joomla, I plan to completely redesign the VNCScan website using it.

Ok, back to the grind. I’ll be more social soon, I promise!

This is the first picture taken of our baby. This is the time in the pregnancy when I start to get that “new daddy” feeling and it all becomes real to me. It’s been real to Kate for about 6 weeks because she has been experiencing the unmistakable nausea every single day!

While the technician turned on the speakers so that we could hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time, the baby started moving around on it’s own! That was so awesome to watch that fetus react to the pressure and probably the sounds from the heartbeat playback.

She is 10 weeks along according to the measurements. That places the due date at about April 15Th, 2007. If a baby can move and react like ours did today at only 10 weeks, it can be nothing other than alive.

I’m not an activist but it is clear to anyone who experiences this that abortion is nothing other than cold blooded murder. I’ll save the political stuff for another blog entry, though. I don’t want a bunch of crazy pro-abortion nuts cluttering the comments section of this entry.
