Symbicort Asthma Inhailer
I started taking a new Asthma medicine about a month ago. I went to my doctor last month and let him know that something has been really bothering my Asthma lately and I’ve been puffing on my rescue inhailer at least twice per day.
He suggested a few things and then prescribed Symbicort for me. The dosage is to take two inhailations in the mornning and two in the evening. He claimed that, after a few days of this, I would rarely need to hit on my rescue inhailer.
When I got home, I started researching this new medicine … because I’m a geek and that’s what geeks do. My jaw dropped when I read “Symbicort may increase the risk of asthma-related death” from Drugs.com. I searched all over the Internet and couldn’t seem to find any details about this risk other than that it was some legal wording from a study that happened years ago.
After finding no actual reported cases of death that was conclusively tied to the use of this drug, I decided to give it a try. After a month later, I’m happy to report that I’m still alive and the doctor was right! I rarely need to use my rescue inhailer and I feel great!
