Larry Broat was my boss at Thomson Shore, Inc. He gained the respect and loyalty of our whole department due to his selfless management style. He was one of the Greats and will always be remembered.
In my technology career, I’ve had two mentors that have believed in me and given me a chance to make a difference. One of them was Tom Diroff of the former Technology Partners in Ann Arbor, MI, and the other was Larry.
Things just aren’t the same in the department any more but he did lay a strong enough foundation that we will eventually be able to pick up the pieces and survive. This was one of his battle cries.
I can only aspire to be as strong of a leader as he was. We will all miss you, Larry.
