Introducing Isabelle!


The time finally arrived! After a long, dragged out pregnancy, Kate was induced into labor on Monday and Issie came into the world the next morning at 5:37AM.

I have to say that Kate surprised me with the labor. She seemed to feel very little pain though most of it. It wasn’t until she opted for the epidural that she showed any real signs of discomfort. It was the strange feelings from the drug that made her uncomfortable, though. She pushed Issie out with a few quick pushes and it was all over.

Issie scored very high on all of her tests and is a very serene baby … when there’s not a legitimate need for crying. She did have a touch of jaundice and we had to put her on a light blanket for 24 hours at home but no other issues other than that.

I am trying to decide if I should put pics and info about Issie up here or create a new blog for it so stay tuned.
